Transporter, swab with Amies gel, aluminum wire shaft with rayon tip, single, 50 per box
A sterile soft rayon swab on a straight aluminum wire with a round bottom plastic tube containing 5ml of modified Amies clear semi-solid transport medium
Suitable for ear, nose, throat, eye and male urethral swab sampling
“Venturi” (hourglass) design locks in the media and specimen, prevents shifting of media, prevents exposure to air, packaged in a clear oxygen barrier wrapper, keeps out oxygen, tamper-evident seal

Recommended For:
Clinically significant samples, but can be used to transport most fastidious & non-fastidious Micro-organisms.

Ideal For:
24 hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical), for fastidious, non-fastidious, aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms including:

Pseudomonas spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Propionibacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Neisseria spp., anaerobes, microaerophilics.

Known Limitations:
1. DO NOT REUSE. Single use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.

2. Recovery after 24 hours will be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost.
